GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — Two men have been arrested in connection with two armed robberies that happened Sunday night, according to Grand Rapids Police.

The first robbery happened at roughly 8:16 p.m. at Ron’s Quick Stop, 1115 Bridge St. NW.    Police say a man entered the business with a handgun, took an unspecified amount of money and then fled in a vehicle with the other suspect.

Less than half an hour later, the Subway restaurant at 2232 Plainefield Ave. NE was robbed at gunpoint.

Police say they arrested the two suspects after locating a stolen four-door sedan that matched the description of the one used in the Quick Stop robbery.  They also found evidence linking the suspects to both robberies, according to a release.

The men will be identified pending formal arraignment.
