CALEDONIA, Mich. — A 23-year-old Caledonia woman has died after a crash Sunday in the area of 108th Street and Hanna Lake Avenue.

Alexandria Rogers was driving north when her vehicle was hit by a minivan.  She was taken to the hospital by Aero Med.

The Kent County Sheriff’s Department confirmed Tuesday that Rogers died as a result of her injuries.   She wasn’t wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash, according to the report released by police.

The driver and passenger in the minivan were not injured.  A 2-year-old in the van sustained minor injuries.

Investigators don’t believe alcohol played a factor but are working to learn if an unknown medical condition might’ve led to the crash.

She was actually walking distance from her house, so I’m sure you have also been in a situation where you don’t put your seat belt on till you are on the road. And your insensitive comment to the passing of a young woman who is someones daughter is disturbing.
