GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. -- Roughly six months after launching the Meijer Curbside program at the Knapp's Corner location, Meijer has announced that it is expanding the service to eight additional stores.

You may remember, the program gives customers the opportunity to order their groceries online in advance, and head to the pickup area to gather their items without leaving their vehicles.

This week, Meijer Curbside will be offered at the Cascade and Ann Arbor stores.  Then later this year it will also launch at the Jenison and Canton locations, as well as additional stores in Ohio.

Here's how it works, in case you are unfamiliar with the service:

Customers shop for roughly 60,000 of the most commonly shopped grocery and general merchandise items and place orders online at Meijer.com/Curbside. Then customers select a preferred pick-up time between 7 a.m. and 9 p.m. daily. For orders of one to 12 items, customers can pick them up in as little as one hour. For orders of 13 or more items, customers can schedule pickup in about three hours. Orders can be placed up to three days in advance.
