Recall notice: Heat-activated fire alarms recalled for failing to alert consumers

BETHESDA, Md. — The Consumer Product Safety Commission has announced the recall of hundreds of thousands of fire alarms, because there is a problem with a fuse.

Sure Signal Products heat-activated fire alarms — A defective fusible link sensor (fuse) on the fire alarm can cause the alarm to fail to alert consumers of a fire.  About 375,000 units are impacted.  No injuries or incidents have been reported.
