AUBURN HILLS, Mich. — A woman is in custody after using her vehicle as a weapon, injuring a Police Officer while trying to flee a traffic stop.

The entire incident was caught on the dash cam from inside the Officer’s cruiser.

WJBK reports that Breianna Smart was stopped on October 23rd for driving with a suspended license.  When the officer, Martin Mikolajczak, approached the woman’s vehicle he realized he had just stopped her a few weeks earlier.

In the video, the 22-year-old woman of Auburn Hills, tells Officer Mikolajczak that she doesn’t have a license before she makes a quick phone call to a friend.

“The police officer pulled me over, he didn’t tell me why,” Smart is heard saying to her friend on the video.
The officer begins to arrest her, getting on one handcuff as Smart starts telling her friend she is being harassed and that the officer is hitting her- the video showing otherwise. The officer calls for backup as he struggles with Smart trying to get back into her car.

At this point, she is able to twist her arm out of the cuffs and make it into the vehicle.  With her door open, she throws the car in reverse and takes off.

She strikes 37-year-old Mikolajcak and slams him into his cruiser.

Smart allegedly ditched her car at a nearby hotel and hopped in a friend’s car.  She was located and arrested later that night.  She is now facing several felonies.

Officer Mikolajczak suffered only minor injuries.
