WHITEHALL, Mich. — A local couple quit their day jobs to follow their dreams. About a year ago Dan and Jen Hain bought a building on Colby street in hopes to turn it into a brewery.
It used to be home to the State Bank, but was abandoned in 1966.
The couple says they put their blood, sweat, and tears into the renovations... and Fetch Brewing Company was born. The business has plenty of unique features including their 'Penny Lounge.' It's a room created inside the banks original vault and it's lined with penny floors.
The Hains also say they tried their best to reserve and reuse any materials already there. They say the bar top and shelves are actually made from the bank's 100-year-old wood rafters.
Those who visit the brewery are in good hands, as Dan has been practicing the craft of home-brewing for more than 20 years. Recently the couple was awarded the 'Entrepreneur Of the Year' award by the White Lake Area Chamber of Commerce. Abandoned bank, i hardly think so, they moved out and the building was up for sale, the title is misleading !

Wish the news would promote my business… I guess I have to open a brewery.
So what else happened over a year ago that we can pass off as news?
Old news is old.
