SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. – Have you been finding yourself drowning your sorrows during the Detroit Lions games this year? You aren’t alone.

BACtrack, the company that makes smartphone breathalyzers where you can check your Blood Alcohol Content (BAC), has analyzed which NFL markets have the highest BAC on Sundays, since preseason football started this summer, through Sunday, October 26th.

The fans with the highest BAC is the Buffalo Bills, but the Detroit Lions fans are tied for second with fans of the Philadelphia Eagles.  The fans of the Cleveland Browns and the Arizona Cardinals fill out the rest of the Top 5.  The Buffalo fans had .076% and the Lions and Eagles fans had .069%.  Legal limit for driving in Michigan is .08%.  The soberest fans are the Houston Texans, New York Giants, New Orleans Saints, Tennessee Titans and Cincinnati Bengals.

The study found that one-third of NFL team’s fans had a BAC of higher that .06%, which is the level where judgement and self-control often start to fail people.
