(CNN) — The latest U.S. intelligence suggests that the crash of a Russian passenger jet in the Sinai over the weekend was most likely caused by a bomb on the plane planted by ISIS or an ISIS affiliate, according to a U.S. official familiar with the matter.

But the official stressed a formal conclusion has not been reached by the U.S. intelligence community.

“There is a definite feeling it was an explosive device planted in luggage or somewhere on the plane,” the official, who is familiar with the latest U.S. intelligence analysis of the crash, told CNN.

Other U.S. officials also told CNN that the analysis is pointing toward the cause being a bomb.

Based on the same intelligence, the U.S. belief is that ISIS or an ISIS-affiliated group is responsible for the attack, the official said.

The British government announced Wednesday that it had “become concerned that the plane may well have been brought down by an explosive device.”

The British government did not detail precisely how it reached that conclusion. But a UK aviation team is traveling to inspect the Sharm airport to look at whether there were proper security measures at the airport and the various scenarios, by which, an explosive device could have made it to the Russian airliner “including a person or in cargo,” according to the British transport minister.

They also believed Saddam had weapons of mass destruction.
The American people are going to require PROOF, not just finger-pointing and name-calling, if Obama wants to go to war. And we all know that is the strategy here…go to war right before the election to boost the chances of the party in charge because they are “keeping the world safe”.

Forget it. A plane the American people don’t care about was blown up by people the American people don’t care about, killing people that the American people don’t care about. What we care about, and what we want our newxt president to care about, is DOMESTIC problems. Let the foreigners blow themselves to kingdom come, we don’t care. We have our own problems here at home that we care about much more, and that are going unaddressed. OUR needs are not being met. OUR will is being ignored by the people we elect to exercise it. Our current president should be tried for treason, and then our next president won’t think twice about putting Americans first.

This BS call by the US Gov isn’t fooling anyone. We all know the Russians planted the bomb on their own plane in order to escalate military action in Syria and the Ukraine. The US is just trying to out maneuver the Russians and spin it to its own advantage, just like always.

    We aren’t fools, Barack.

The Russians blew up their own plane??
I thought that was crazy when I first read it, but after thinking about it for a minute it doesn’t seem all that implausible. We are talking about Putin here, after all. If it is true, then you are right that they did so to escalate things in the area in an effort to try drawing us into it, and you are then also right that it looks like Obama is playing right into their hands like a puppy following a piece of bacon.
I am sorry I dismissed you so quickly, your thoughts have merit.
It will be interesting to see what sort of “proof” is found.
Thing is, to most Americans it doesn’t matter who blew up the plane.
Most Americans believe it is inappropriate for us to step into the middle of someone else’s civil war.
Most Americans remember how poorly that worked out for everyone in Viet Nam.
If Russia wants to do that, let them have a Viet Nam of their own and see how it looks on them when it is over.
This event has nothing to do with us, and most Americans want to keep it that way.
THat part of what you said, making domestic issues a priority, I think is spot on btw.
Any presidential candidate who can show that they are going to dramatically shift our priorities from foreign to domestic is going to win the election by a landslide, and I don’t think it matters what party they belong to.

Two schools of thought on this one. Obama has done his very best to defend and empower radical Islam and will continue to do so.
On more than one occasion Obama ( and the left) have eluded to a third term. Creating another war ( most likely ww3) at election time would create the excuse to “postpone” elections.

Well America, he told us exactly what he would do to america if elected. and he did. and stupid Americans elected him twice. freedom traded for free cell phones and unicorn farts.

The left must be jumping for joy. a dream come true.
