LANSING, Mich. — Three Lansing schools were locked down after two people were shot near Everett High School Thursday morning, according to FOX 47.

Everett, Cavanaugh and Gardner schools are all locked down as a precaution.  The shooting did not happen on school property, the Lansing School district said on Facebook.

The two people who were shot allegedly broke into a home on Pinewood Avenue, Lansing Police tell FOX 47.  One of the shooting victims was found in the woods near Everett High School and the other victim was dropped off at a hospital.

“All students and staff are safe at Cavanaugh, Everett and Gardner,” the Lansing School District posted on Facebook.
