WALKER, Mich.  – The countdown as of Thursday, November 5 says 20 days plus several hours until the start of Black Friday weekend.  And Meijer has leaked a first look at their sales circular for the big shopping event.

On Meijer.com is a link to the ads for Thursday, November 26 (Thanksgiving) through Saturday, November 28.

On quick glimpses, Thursday looks like the day for the Playstation 4 and Beats headphones.  Friday looks like the day for a drone and tablets.

Typical Meijer…all the really good sounding deals have a catch. Yeah, what you want is $50 off or $100 off….off your next shopping trip to Meijer. Even that front page deal on the 55″ TV is BS. It is a relabelled discount brand, several years old, not Smart enabled, has a poor reliability record, and is worth about the $250 they are telling you is a good deal.
When are these retailers going to wise up? How many disappointing Black Fridays is it going to take to realize that they can not compete with the year-round good deals available online?

Couldn’t have said it better. Meijer does philanthropy really well, but they are one of the most despicable, unethical businesses in the state.

Gotta agree with this. I’ll take WalMart any day over Meijer. At least WalMart doesn’t try to pretend it is something it isn’t.
