BARRY COUNTY, Mich. — One person was trapped in a vehicle after it was partially submerged in water Monday morning.

It happened at around 8:20 a.m. in the southbound lanes of North Avenue in Johnston Township.

The Barry County Sheriff’s Office said the driver of a 2009 four-door Toyota lost control, and the car rolled onto its roof. Authorities said the car was submerged in about two feet of water.

The victim was taken to the hospital for treatment.

It doesn’t appear drugs or alcohol were factors in this crash.

“Partially submerged” in only two feet of water? Drugs and alcohol may not have been a factor in this crash, but they sure were in the writing of this article!

Next time I stand in a puddle I am going to cry for help and demand to be rescued, and when they haul me off I will claim to have been partially submerged.
