Man charged with stealing safe from Barry County business

NASHVILLE, Mich. — A 25-year-old Nashville man has been charged after allegedly stealing a safe from a Barry County business.

Joshua Steven Gauss is facing charges of breaking and entering and larceny from a building in connection with the Nov. 19 incident at MOO-ville Creamery, 5875 S. M-66.

Investigators recovered the stolen safe, a blow torch used to break into it and an unspecified amount of cash, according to a release from the Barry County Sheriff’s Department.

Gauss is currently being held on a $250,000 bond.
