EAST LANSING, Mich. (AP) — Charities and nonprofit groups in the Lansing area have scored a touchdown after jackpots in two Michigan State football raffles went unclaimed.

MSU says about $60,000 is being donated to 16 groups, including food banks, Special Olympics, and the United Way.

Football fans at Spartan Stadium can buy 50/50 raffle tickets during home games. But no one stepped forward with the winning tickets from games against Oregon and Central Michigan.

Since 2013, only five of 127 raffle prizes have gone unclaimed at football, basketball and hockey games.
