Man arrested after Calhoun County robbery

PENNFIELD TOWNSHIP, Mich. — A man was arrested Tuesday after a reported armed robbery at Limewood Apartments, 572 Limewood Dr. 

According to a release, the victims told police that a man pulled out a handgun and robbed them before fleeing through the complex.

Investigators located a suspect and the victims’ property while searching the apartment complex, according to a release.  They did not recover the firearm that was allegedly used during the robbery.

According to the Calhoun County Sheriff’s Department, the suspect in this robbery also had an arrest warrant for alleged fraud and larceny that happened Dec. 3.

Purdy Elementary School and the Calhoun Area Career Center were temporarily locked down while officials investigated the robbery, according to a release.

The suspect will be identified pending formal arraignment.
