No arrests after man shot in chest in Kalamazoo

KALAMAZOO, Mich. — Public Safety Officers are investigating after a man was shot in the chest.

It happened around 4:00 early Sunday morning in the 800 block of Woodbury Avenue. Police said they received a report of several shots fired in the area.

When police arrived on scene they found a 33-year-old man with a gun shot wound to the chest.  He was taken to the hospital and is listed in stable condition.

Kalamazoo Public Safety Officers said the investigation is ongoing. No suspects have been named and no arrests have been made.
