GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — As thousands of people around the country prepare to see the latest Star Wars film Thursday night, Celebration! Cinemahas posted its guidelines for those who are planning to dress up.

The theater chain is asking that people over the age of 12 not wear masks, helmets, make-up or other decorations that obscure their faces.

That means no Stormtrooper or Darth Vader masks.   Jedi robes are fine, though.

Toy lightsabers are permitted as long as they aren’t lit inside the theater, but toy blasters will not be allowed.

Star Wars: The Force Awakens will begin screening Thursday night.

FOX 17 is reaching out to other theaters in West Michigan for their policies for the movie’s opening weekend.
