GRANDVILLE, Mich. – A Grandville company donated $4,976 in gift cards Thursday to Kent County kids and teens in foster care who are not with families this holiday season. Hadley Advantage is a commercial vehicle company in Grandville that contacted FOX 17 after seeing our Forever Home series in which we feature foster care youth most in need of getting adopted.

In a heartfelt check presentation Thursday morning, Hadley Advantage employees gathered to donate the generous gift toOrchards Children’s Services’ Adoption Resource Consultant (ARC) program, which partners with FOX 17's Forever Home series.

ARC Specialist Dana Wright told FOX 17 that the entire gift of $4,976 will be equally divided into gift cards for all children and teens living in residential foster care placements in Kent County who have an assigned adoption resource consultant.

“We saw a spot on FOX [17] News, the Forever Home, and every year we try to find a worthy organization or family that needs a helping a hand,” said Darcy Lukaart, Hadley Advantage human resources manager. “We decided this year that would be a great organization for us to help, for the kids that are almost forgotten if you will.”

Giving to those in need is something Lukaart told FOX 17 that the company holds close to their heart. Hadley Advantage has given back to their community during the holidays like this for at least the last 15 years.

“It’s a little overwhelming for me for the support that our teams gives and gives back to the community where we live and earn our money,” said Lukaart.

FOX 17 would like to extend a HUGE thank you to Hadley Advantage and its employees for such an amazing gift this holiday season that will impact many kids and teens who need it most. Thank you again!
