No injuries following explosion at Grand Haven plastic’s plant

GRAND HAVEN, Mich. — No one was hurt following a fire at a plastic’s plant in Grand Haven Friday night.

It was reported at 9:00 p.m. at 1540 Marion Avenue in Grand Haven. Officials with the Ottawa County Sheriff’s Office confirmed the business was Polyply Composites.

There was also an initial explosion reported inside the building, but everything has since been contained.

The HAZMAT team was brought in as a precaution during the incident.
