WYOMING, Mich – A domestic violence suspect recently featured on West Michigan’s Most Wanted failed to avoid arrest after giving police officers a fake name when they caught up with him earlier this month.

It was December 11 when Wyoming officers were called to a hotel parking lot on a report of a suspicious person when they caught up with 26-year-old Christopher Lee.  Federal authorities say Lee tried giving officers a fake name, but officers were able to determine his real identity and arrest him.

Lee was initially booked in the Kent County jail on a series of charges including aggravated assault in a domestic violence case out of Grand Rapids, a probation violation in Kentwood, supplying false information to a police officer in Wyoming and for failing to pay child support in Kent County.

Lee was released on bond shortly after his arrest, only to be arrested again on December 17 by Kentwood Police for operating a motor vehicle without a license.  He’s since posted bond for that arrest as well.

Lee was 1 of an initial 24 suspects named during a Silent Observer domestic violence awareness campaign in October.  To date, only 4 of the initial 24 suspects named in the multi-jurisdictional law enforcement effort remain at large.
