Grizzly and Dep. Travis Moore

HASTINGS, Mich. – The Barry County Sheriff has a new four-legged deputy.

Grizzly was “sworn in” to service Tuesday at the Barry County Board of Commissioners meeting. His handler is Deputy Travis, a 15-year veteran of the department and they completed K-9 training last week.

Grizzly assisted deputies early Tuesday morning before being sworn in, helping them find a suspect who was hiding on the porch of an abandoned home.
