GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. -- Scattered, light snow created a very icy commute for some this morning, and more of the same is possible for those New Year's Eve celebrations.

The small amount of snow that fell along Fuller Avenue created a glaze of ice this morning.

Relatively minor amounts of snow are again expected overnight, but this morning's commute should serve as a reminder that it doesn't take much snow to create havoc on the roadways.

Drivers should expect changing road conditions tonight, and are advised to drive with extreme caution.

The Kent County Road Commission will have salt trucks on standby for areas that do get snow.
