KENTWOOD, Mich. – As FOX 17 continues its Forever Home series, we would like to introduce you to Andrew, 16, who is searching for his adoptive family.

A high school sophomore, Andrew is compassionate and respectful, and is especially honored to have become a member of his school’s Positive Peers Club.

“One of my goals is to actually be successful and to do the right thing, which I’ve been doing so far,” said Andrew.

Tuesday FOX 17 spent an exciting afternoon with Andrew at Dave and Buster's in Kentwood, where he enjoyed gaming, one his hobbies, for the day.

Andrew was born in Russia and now is living with a foster care family in Michigan. He’s proud of his heritage and is working hard to relearn the Russian language, and hopes a forever family will help him continue to learn and do so.

Focused on success, Andrew said he hopes to become a mechanical engineer or even own a gaming company one day.

Andrew said he enjoys “taking apart computers, pretty much taking apart anything and putting it back together, and hopefully the right way.”

“Also, one of my dreams is to actually have my own company,” he said.

He loves doing puzzles, playing paintball, and anything to do with cartoon and action video games. He would love to do all of this with a family one day and take vacations together, too.

As he navigates high school, Andrew said he needs nothing more than a family to guide him.

“A family that cares about me that will actually say, ‘oh this is not good,’ talk to me if I’ve got any problems, or me being able to talk to them if I have any problems,” said Andrew.

If you would like to learn more about Andrew, the adoption process, or if you would like to adopt Andrew, please call his adoption agency, Orchards Children’s Services at: 1 (855) 694-7301.

FOX 17 would like to give a special thank you to Dave and Buster's for such a fun and generous filming session!
