HAMILTON, Mich. - A wild fawn has found its home on a West Michigan man's farm after its mother was hit by a car. The young buck named, Bucky plays with children, gives kisses, and even poses for the occasional selfie.

Nicholas Jacobs and his family have been caring for the young deer for about seven months. They've tried to release Bucky in the wild but he keeps coming back.

"A lot of my friends and family call me Bear, like a big care bear because I got a big heart for animals," said Jacobs. "Mostly dogs but I never thought I'd fall in love with a deer."

Friends jokingly call him 'Bear, The Deer Whisperer.'

Every time he whistles, Bucky comes running from the woods to give him a kiss. Jacobs said the DNR told him to leave Bucky alone, hoping he'd run back into the wild. Bucky never left and he's living in the woods just outside the farm.

Jacobs said friends stop by just to pet the deer, some are even lucky enough to take a selfie with the young buck. Bucky is considered part of the family and he's sticking around for now.
