DETROIT, Mich. — Dozens of schools in the Detroit Public School District closed on Wednesday morning due to a massive amount of teacher sick-outs.

The teachers are continuing their protests of poor working conditions by calling in sick to work.  The sick-outs have been going on for days.

According to Fox 2 News in Detroit, at least 86 schools had closed for the day.  Wednesday’s sick-outs coincide with President Obama’s planned visit to the North American International Auto Show.  Teachers are planning to march to the Cobo Center and protest.

I’m sick of Obama, too, but I don’t take a fake sick day off because of it. Only 365 more days until he’s out!
With the complete summer off, do teachers really need another fake sick day off during the school year? Didn’t they say they worked sooooooo hard during the school year that they deserved summers off? Yeah, right.
