Dog rescued after falling through ice on Grand River

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. - Grand Rapids fire fighters rescued a furry friend from the Grand River this morning.

The call came at about 10:30am that a dog had fallen through the ice on the Grand River at the south end of Riverside Park.  The dog has been rescued.

The Grand Rapids Fire Chief tells us that Oscar went out onto the ice chasing some ducks when he fell through.  Oscar's owners are out-of-town and another person was caring for Oscar.
