CRYSTAL TWP., Mich. – An Oceana County woman died Wednesday afternoon after losing control of her vehicle and crashing into an oncoming semi-truck.
The crash happened just before 4:00pm Wednesday on N. 120th Avenue at E. Jefferson Road in Crystal Township.
Oceana County deputies say that Lucinda Patterson, 57, from Custer, was going around a curve to go north on 120th when she lost control and slid into the path of a semi-truck hauling corn. Patterson was trapped in her vehicle and died at the scene.
Deputies say that road conditions likely played a part in the crash. The truck driver was not hurt. The crash remains under investigation.
