ST. IGNACE, Mich. (AP) — The Mackinac Bridge has reopened after falling ice forced officials to close the span for part of the afternoon.
Ice warmed by the sun was falling more than 300 feet from cables and towers, threatening vehicles below. No injuries or damage were reported.
The iconic bridge connects Michigan’s Lower and Upper peninsulas.
