NORTON SHORES, Mich. -- A team of five girls duct taped their principal to the wall in hopes of raising funds to get to an international competition in Qatar.

Mona Shores Middle School in Norton Shores is home to a special team of five girls who compete in Destination Imagination, an extra curricular activity where students work in teams using elements of theater, science, engineering and design to find solutions to complex challenges.

This year the team is one of two in the United States invited to compete in the International contest in Doha, Qatar. Team captain Miah Lipps and her teammate Kennedy Schulist will be representing their team in the contest.

The girls are just $1,700 shy of their fundraising goal. To help get them to Qatar check out their Go Fund Me page.
