Condemned home catches fire overnight

KALAMAZOO, Mich. — A condemned Kalamazoo home went up in flames early Sunday morning.

Kalamazoo Public Safety Officials responded to the fire in the 1000 block of North Church Street at 2:02am.

Authorities say when they arrived at the scene, the flames covered the first and second floors of the home.  Crews entered the structure and spent two hours putting out the fire.

Officials say the home was recently condemned and no one was hurt.

The cause of the fire is unknown and under investigation.
