LANSING, Mich. – A former Aramark supervisor has been sentenced to up to five years in prison for recruiting an inmate to assail another inmate in retaliation for a relative’s murder.

Michael Robert Young, 27, of Kincheloe, was sentenced Thursday to two to five years in prison, according to Michigan Attorney General Bill Schuette.

The AG’s office says that Young was a supervisor for Aramark at the Kinross Correctional Facility in Chippewa County when he asked an inmate to orchestrate the assault of another inmate.  Young was convicted of Solicitation to Commit Assault with Intent to Cause Great Bodily Harm in December 2015.

The inmate reported to the Department of Corrections that Young had solicited him for the assault in 2014.
