HOLLAND, Mich -- The Hope women's basketball team is enjoying a special season, they are 20-0 and ranked 4th nationally.  A win Saturday would give head coach Brian Morehouse his 500th career win.

Morehouse, is in his 20th season at the helm of the Flying Dutch.

"I didn`t know how many wins I had until Monday when our sports information director came up and said do you realize that you could get to 500 wins this week and I said I don`t even know how many wins we have this season and so I really don`t judge things that way, I am so much in the moment, so much about the present" Morehouse said.

Hope's two seniors Maura McAfee and Autumn Anderson have been a part of 102 of those wins and would love to give their coach number 500 on Saturday.

"I think it`s really cool, obviously he has been here a long time has a strong tradition of winning so to be a part of that is really awesome and 500 is a pretty significant milestone so it`s going to be really neat to be there and celebrate it with him" McAfee said.

"He`s going to be one of the greatest coaches ever in the state and in division three when he decides to retire, I honestly believe that if he goes another twenty years he`s going to have his thousandth win and just to be able to say I was a part of the program before he`s got his thousandth win is something that is going to be amazing" Anderson said.

Hope will also be honoring the 2006 team that Morehouse led to a National Championship, tip against St. Mary's is scheduled for 3 P.M..
