Area grocery store to open new location in Wyoming

WYOMING, Mich. – A Grand Rapids grocery store announced Wednesday they are expanding to Wyoming.

Ken’s Fruit Market announced on their Facebook page that they will be opening their third location in the former Duthler Foods on 28th Street by the Rogers Plaza Mall.

Ken’s currently has locations on Plainfield Avenue NE and on Eastern Avenue SE in the Alger Heights neighborhood.

    That should put the last nail in Family Fares coffin at Rogers Plaza. There is never anyone in the store now. When Ken’s opens a new store at the other end of the plaza it will put an end to Family Fare at the plaza.
