West Michigan – Northwest winds and cold air have brought some heavy snow to parts of the area. The picture is from Mindi Lu in Allegan Lake from earlier this afternoon. We received several photos of snow around Allegan of 13-14 inches.

Snow totals were highest southwest and west of Grand Rapids through Allegan, Van Buren and Kalamazoo counties. The snowfall was very localized with many spots east of US 131 receiving only trace amounts.
