Catherine Gertrude Bender, 45, was charged in January for allegedly being the at-fault driver in a fatal crash in Hopkins Township in December.  She was charged with Driving While License Suspended Causing Death in January.  Police say Bender was driving when she ran a stop sign at 130th Avenue and 22nd Street and hit a pick-up truck. The driver of the truck, John Dolegowski, was killed.

Wednesday, Bender’s twin sister, Nancy Lynn Ferrier was charged with Allowing a Suspended Person to Operate – Causing Death.  Investigators say that Ferrier was the registered owner of the vehicle that Bender was driving and that she allowed Bender to drive the car, even though she wasn’t licensed.
