2 seriously injured in head-on collision in Ottawa County

OLIVE TOWNSHIP, Mich. — Two people were injured following a head-on car accident Saturday morning.

The crash happened at Port Sheldon and 112th Street in Olive Township.

Deputies say 24-year-old Zakery MacDonald was driving an SUV westbound on Port Sheldon when he crossed over the center line and struck another SUV driven by 62-year-old Lynda Walker.

Both drivers were pinned in their vehicle and had to be extricated.

According to deputies, they were both taken to a local hospital and are in critical condition.

The crash is still under investigation.
