MECOSTA COUNTY, Mich. — A camp counselor who had been accused of entering into campers’ beds and inappropriately touching them has been sentenced.

William Nealy, 24, will spend at least 28.5 months to up to 15 years in prison for 2nd degree criminal sexual conduct.  Nealy pleaded ‘no contest’ to the charges in January.  He is receiving credit for already serving 202 days in jail.

Nealy, a former employee at the Christian camp Cran-Hill Ranch, was accused of sneaking into campers’ bunks the week of June 21 and touching them.

He told other counselors that he had a problem with sleep walking. He allegedly did it again on July 9, after which he was released from the camp.
