Winter Storm Warnings and Winter Weather Advisories are in place for the entirety of our viewing area until 1 AM Wednesday.

Advanced Planning

Even though many areas will see a slight break in intensity before noon or around the midday timeframe, heavier snows will begin by early afternoon, creating a very slick commute.

SNOW TOTALS (8)

Snowfall totals as of 9 AM were already in excess of 4 inches in many locations with a few more inches to come.

RPM 1 (19)

Heavier bands of snow will develop by early afternoon and when some of you may be headed home from school or work, this is the likely time we'll see some pockets of 1" per hour snowfall in a few locations.

Snowfall will taper off later on tonight slightly before midnight, but totals will range anywhere from 6-10" with isolated amounts near a foot possible!  This is a very dry snow as compared to last week's wet snow that piled up.  This will cause snow drifts and low visibility for the drive home today, as well as the potential to be packed down into a sheet of ice for areas that are driven on repeatedly.  Stay safe and send your updates on conditions and photos to the FOX 17 Facebook Page.
