Denzel Valentine wins Big Ten player of the year

CHICAGO, Ill — Michigan State senior Denzel Valentine has been named the Big Ten player of the year.

Valentine averaged 19 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists in 27 games this season.

He becomes the 8th Michigan State men’s basketball player to win the award.

Bryn Forbes was 2nd team all-Big Ten and Matt Costello was named 2nd team but the media.
