WEST MICHIGAN – A fugitive recently featured on West Michigan’s Most Wanted faces a new federal indictment that could place him in prison for several years following his surrender last week.
Bobby Ross, 24, surrendered to the U.S. Marshals on Wednesday. He was featured on West Michigan’s Most Wanted in mid-February, wanted for violating the conditions of his release from the Federal Bureau of Prisons.
An arrest warrant was issued for Ross in early January after federal authorities placed Ross on ‘escape’ status after he violated the terms of his home confinement in Muskegon. Ross had been placed on supervised release following his conviction for being a felon in possession of a firearm.
Ross could spend an additional five years in prison on the new indictment after he finishes serving his original federal sentence.
Ross has a lengthy criminal history, including prior offenses for assault and battery, burglary, narcotics, weapons offenses and for resisting a police officer.
