Meth lab bust in Cass County; 1 arrested

CASS COUNTY, Mich. — A meth lab was found in Howard Township by detectives Wednesday, according to the Cass County Sheriff’s Department.

Officers say a search warrant was executed in the 3100 block of Detroit Road on suspicion of methamphetamine manufacturing. At the home, they found several items used to make the drug, including three one-pot meth labs and other ingredients outside.

A 30-year-old woman was arrested on charges of manufacture of meth, manufacture of hazardous waste, conspiracy to manufacture meth, and maintaining a drug house. Her name is being withheld until she’s arraigned.

The Michigan Department of Human Services was called to assist with a child that was in the home at the time of the investigation.
