Woman sentenced for embezzling from Greenville Gardens
GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – A Trufant woman has been sentenced to at least two years in prison for embezzling over $90,000 from a Greenville business.
Mariha Roger, 22, was sentenced to two to five years in prison and ordered to pay over $85,000 in restitution on Thursday.
Investigators claimed that Roger stole $93,000 from Greenville Gardens over the four years that she worked for the company. They say she would claim sold items were returned, but would then take the cash.
Roger pleaded guilty and a more serious charge of embezzlement of over $50,000 was dismissed.
