GRAND RAPIDS, Mich.-- According to statistics, an average of 22 veterans commit suicide every day in the U.S. That's because one of the biggest challenges veterans face is finding a sense of purpose after serving.

An effort is underway to raise awareness about veteran suicide and the mental health issues that can lead to it.

The #22KILL movement, which started in 2013, challenges supporters to do 22 push-ups a day for 22 days to help spread awareness.
