Missing Holland teen found in Indianapolis

Missing teen HollandHOLLAND, Mich. — Holland Department of Public Safety is saying that a missing teen was found unharmed in Indianapolis Wednesday evening.

Mary Squiers, 14, reportedly ran away from her home on W. 13th Street in HollandTuesday night between 11 p.m. Tuesday and 6 a.m. Wednesday, according to a release. Police say her online activity showed that she was heading to Indianapolis, Indiana to meet someone she was communicating with online.

Michigan State Police responded to a report of a girl matching Squiers’ description attempting to hitchhike near exit 41 off I-196.  Police did not locate anyone in the area.

She is being held in Indianapolis by police until her parents can pick her up.
