BROOKLYN, NY — Michigan let a 12-point halftime lead slip away, allowing the six-seeded Fighting Irish of Notre Dame to come back and knock the 11-seeded Wolverines out of the NCAA Tournament on Friday night with a 70-63 win in Brooklyn in the first round of the East Region.

Muhammad-Ali Abdur-Rahkman scored a team-high 15 for Michigan (23-13), who led 41-29 after the first 20 minutes.

Notre Dame (22-11) shot 58.1% from the floor to surge back from their halftime deficit.
