KALAMAZOO, Mich. — Police are investigating the suspicious death of a girl who would've been celebrating her birthday Saturday, according to police.
The child was found unresponsive in a home in the 1100 block of Douglas Avenue around 9:30 Saturday morning, according to a release from the Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety.

That's heavy," said neighbor Demeetries Little, "Oh yeah it it home. I got a lot of nieces and nephews you saw those kids out here, yeah it hit home. That's heavy. A defenseless child. That's crazy."
