16-year-old female arrested in connection to Harper Creek bomb threat

EMMETT TOWNSHIP, Mich. – A 16-year-old female is facing criminal charges after an alleged bomb threat on Monday.

According to the Emmett Township Department of Public Safety Facebook page, the case is being reviewed by Calhoun County Prosecutors.

The reported bomb threat happened at  Harper Creek Schools complex on Beadle Lake Road.

Police said the threat did  not appear to be credible, but students were evacuated as a precaution.

Public Safety officers are stationed at Wattles Park, Beadle Lake and Sonoma Elementary School to assist.

Authorities said school will will resume on Tuesday.
