BRANCH COUNTY, Mich – Authorities in southwest Michigan, Indiana and Ohio are working to find a couple tied to several robberies.

According to the Fremont Police Department in Indiana, the Branch County Prosecutor’s Office here in Michigan has issued multiple count warrants for both John Morgan and Nickole Collins.

Police say the couple is known to frequent the southwest Michigan area, along with northwest Ohio and northeast Indiana.  Both are to be considered armed and dangerous.

Charges for Morgan include three counts of bank robbery, three counts of unarmed robbery and one count of conspiracy to commit bank robbery.

Charges for Nickole Collins include one count of bank robbery and one count of conspiracy to commit bank robbery.

Authorities in Branch County say two recent reported sightings of the couple proved not to be them.  One of the reports was out of Fremont, Indiana.  The other was around 10:00 a.m. Friday at a Shell gas station in Coldwater.  Authorities say two individuals in a white Ford Mustang similar to the one tied to the bank robbery at Century Bank and Trust in Quincy on Tuesday were stopped and questioned then released after they were identified.

Investigators in Branch County tell FOX17 they’re confident the pair are connected to up to as many as 17 robberies in Michigan, Indiana and Ohio; including the most recent bank robbery in Quincy.

Both Morgan and Collins were the focus of a Michigan State Police search in mid-March tied to a drug investigation.  At the time, the couple were wanted for maintaining a drug house, along withpossession of heroin and marijuana.  Both Morgan and Collins were located and arrested on those felony warrants prior to these new warrants being issued.  The pair was due in court in early April on those drug related charges.

Anyone with information on where Morgan and Collins are should contact Branch County Central Dispatch at 517-278-3091.
