COOPERSVILLE, Mich. – The snow from a mild West Michigan winter may have melted away, but for some residents in the Coopersville area, the problems of winter remain.
Those former customers of Cody Kooman, a Hudsonville-based snowplow contractor, tell FOX 17 they paid hundreds down on a contract they say was not fulfilled.
According to estimates from former customers and other area contractors now picking up those contracts pro bono, Kooman had somewhere around 40 contracts this winter. Many of those customers expressed discontent with his service, reaching out to the FOX 17 Problem Solvers for help.
In a phone conversation with FOX 17 today, Kooman said he wasn’t sure where that number was coming from. He said he didn’t know exactly how many contracts he had signed on for this winter, but says it couldn’t have been more than 20. He also told us he had paid several complainants back already, and was open to reimbursement for those who still felt they were owed it.
If you are a former customer of Kooman’s, contact the FOX 17 Problem Solvers, who are now working with Kooman to make sure the situation is straightened out.
