WAYLAND, Mich. — Officials say the Gun Lake Casino will nearly double its current size when it completes a $76 million expansion.

The expansion will add 73,000 square feet of space to the facility.

The Gun Lake Tribe of Pottawatomi Indians on Tuesday announced the update about the project, which includes a high-limit gambling room and entertainment lounge. The tribe’s full name is the Match-E-Be-Nash-She-Wish Band of Pottawatomi Indians.

Construction on the additions started in January and the new features are expected to open in summer 2017.
