Founders flaunts black beer at 15th annual Black Party

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. - Black beer is being celebrated at Saturday's 15th annual Black Party hosted by Founders Brewing Co., including KBS and CBS.

Founder's Entertainment & Events Manager, Joey Basch told FOX 17 it's going to be a 'hoppin' good time.'

The event is happening Saturday (4/16/16) in the Founder's Taproom, 235 Grandville Avenue SW, Grand Rapids. The event runs from 11am-2pm and is $10 for the general public, $8 for Founders 2016 Mug Club Members. Paid entry gets you a commemorative Black Party pint glass (while supplies last) and a complimentary pint of any 'Class 1 beer'. No advance tickets, just cover at the door, as capacity allows. Ages 21 and up only.

    Founders doesn’t make a “class 1” beer. They make over-hopped, over-sweet swill for the masses who wouldn’t recognize well-crafted beer if you poured it on them.
    Founders is to beer what bubblegum-flavored vodka is to liquor.
